They're Not Monsters is a real-time Roguelike where you play as a mad scientist raising and controlling commandos of mutant rabbits. Activate chips in their brains, and go reconquer your kingdom... scientifically!

I Worked on all the art of the game, from art direction, character design, animation, backgrounds to UI/UX

I made several designs for the characters you can see a little bit the research and the final designs.

I animated the characters in 2d “tradigital”.

 

Background design and UI - Management phase

In this phase of the game you should manage your team, buy weapons, craft chips and mutate your minions.

The game contains 3 different worlds : The lab / The Inquisition / The castle

For the vertical slice, we started with the inquisition world. I made several tests to set the unsettling mood of the opponents’ cult : The Holy Carrot.
